Preparing Our Home

As we prepare for our home study, one of the main requirements is the bedroom of course, along with many other home safety items. I am so very excited to create this space for the kids who come into our care.

I have put a lot of thought into it and how I want it to look.

Because we don’t know what gender or age we will get at any given time, the room needs to have things for both young boys and girls- and infants and toddlers.

That’s quite the room!

I’ve always dreamed of my kids Pottery Barn decorated bedroom- but I sure didn’t know I would be decorating for a boy, girl and a possible infant/toddler!

I can’t wait to share once it’s finished! But I first need to get it started!

I am looking for the following:

1. White crib

2. White twin bunk bed, with stairs.

Please keep me in mind if you see anyone giving theirs away, or selling for a good price 😊

If you are ever parting ways with your children’s toys, clothing etc in good condition- please keep our future kids in mind!

I am willing to take it off your hands.

Thank you for being our village,

💜Mallory

Deepest Pains and Greater Callings

This is something I have prayed about sharing at the right time. Figuring out the words to share and what to say.

For “Normal” families, posting the cute little Etsy made announcement with little booties and onesies, or “for this child we have prayed, as they share Rainbow Baby announcements. It floods my Facebook feed. And my heart breaks with each and every one.

I haven’t been so fortunate. My rainbow baby didn’t make it past 7 weeks last year, as you know. We prayed for that child, for my health, for 7 weeks that all was ok. It wasn’t ok at all, and I knew in my heart it wasn’t.

God didn’t answer our prayers.

You know why?

His plan has been perfect all along. I knew from when I was a teen that this was my path. But of course I wanted to marry and also have my own biological children. I didn’t know exactly how I would become a mother, but He has known.

If I would have had my own children biologically, I probably wouldn’t be where I am on this day today.

In two weeks we are finished with our classes.

We will prepare our home and hearts for children who need a family for a short time, a long time, or forever.

We are becoming licensed foster parents.

Our story is just beginning.

We will be having a get together in the coming months- to invite friends and family into our home as we bless our new journey, and learn more about how we can all support the children that come into our home and lives.

It’s with the support of family and friends that we can be the best parents to these vulnerable children.

It’s truly takes a village.

You are our village.

Thank you Jesus
